Underfoot Feel

The Brooks Men's Glycerin GTS 20 features the same cushioning as its neutral counterpart, the Glycerin 20. This is a nitrogen infused foam called DNA LOFT v3. You should find this feels extremely cushioned and protective.

GTS stands for Go To Support. You'll notice the visible structure in between the midsole and upper. This is Brooks' GuideRail support system. While you shouldn't be aware of it, the structure guides your feet and legs in a way that should reduce leg rotation.

Upper Fit

As you'd expect from a highly cushioned shoe, the upper of the Brooks Glycerin GTS 20 feels very comfortable. The premium fabric in this upper should lower the chances of rubbing.

Ideal Run Type

The Brooks Glycerin GTS 20 is an ultra cushioned stability running shoe. We recommend this level of cushioning for runners who want to take maximum stress off their legs. To expand on this, if you're aiming to run on consecutive days, this cushioning has the potential to keep your legs fresher.

While knee and hip irritations can stem from various routes, the GuideRail system in the Glycerin GTS should reduce leg rotation. This is one of the primary causes of knee and hip discomfort during running.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
